TFR Board of Directors
The Final Rumble's Board of Directors, an exclusive group that is said to play a part on TFR's direction.
They are often conflated with The Illuminati, but this group does not in reality exist. Most likely.
Description[edit | edit source]
Little is known about TFR's Board of Directors, its goals, or even members, but its most likely tasked with matters of strategic direction, staffing, budget, and the like.
However, there are also claims that they have nefarious goals, and several of their decisions have indirectly unleashed tragedies upon TFR and its wrestlers.
History[edit | edit source]
Hires Hideo Kojima as a writer before he tried to seize power. It is also revealed that Sminem had bough TFR during the time he left on a "vacation" and Kojima only bought 50% of it while Sminem retained his other half, so the board likely changed/reduced in size during that time, with the addition of Phoenix Wright taking his place.
Bradford question the Board of Directors about the newly appointed Head of Creative, but they consider him the best candidate and a creative genius in the making, and while Bradford sees Pegasus leaving as a heavy blow, they see it as a big opportunity and Central cedes they have to rebuild somehow. The Board's representative argues that they can't play safe when such a big risk as AEW must be destroyed, and hopes as one of their highest-ranked officials, he'll understand.
And so Central leaves... and Sandro enters. To formalize their decision of making him Head of Creative, he has to sign a paper (which he hopes won't make him pay more alimony). Finally, skeletons will get the respect they deserve...
They have also been paying Sam Stone a seriously handsome amount to do their bidding and keep an eye in case things get too "serious".
Whike Kyle Hyde is at a bar, TFR Board of Directors's representative calls him with special news. With such a rare occasion, Kyle tells them to skip to the part where they fire him, but they actually ask for his help in helping TFR as a whole (reminding him of the shady way Wright ran things), and want to talk more details in person.
As he arrives to the conference room, they tell him that TFR and wrestling are in danger, and the latest attack has pushed them to take desperate measures and move ahead with an unfinished concept, which of Kyle is the man they want to implement it. Confused at the prospect, Kyle puts down that he doesn't have anything to do this, and struggling through words even says he cares not about TFR's future, making the member of the Board shocked at such statement by a member of the Mystery Masters personally chosen and welcomed by Sminem and Wright, figures who would certainly know how to save the day. This event makes Kyle reminisce of an exchange he had with Wright, a stack of papers related to a big goal he had been working on in secret. The members of the board had him pinned as the only one able to carry this out, as the last Mystery Master since Saihara disappeared, because he should be able to understand Wright's project, and in fact offer him the position of new Head of Talent Relations since Central suffered in the attack. Kyle begrudgingly gives in but sets his foot down about never bending over outrageous requests, to the rejoice of the board as it finally brings up the plan they'll be giving to him: "Tough Enough", Wright's own pet project. In rage, Kyle gets up and slams the table, scaring members of the board, before taking a moment to regain his composure and quickly sign the papers before walking away with the highly-organized design documents.
