Sumadera Family
A group from Umineko no Naku Koro ni.

A pseudo-noble familial group in steep decline. They are sort of rivals to the Ushiromiya Family, but since the family wasn't decimated in a disaster, are much bigger in size, which lies in steep contrast with how much less wealthy they are. The family is formed by many different and sometimes opposing factions, constantly engaged in a secret feud over who will control the vast wealth one of the family's heirs hold.
Despite being a "noble" family, they can be quite shady, and have at least a few armed members.

Kyrie, the older daughter of the patriarch, "left" the family to marry Ushiromiya Rudolf. Kasumi was forced to leave her fiance and take Kyrie's place in the arranged marriage to become heir.
TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]
At some point the family became a subsidiary of the Sonozaki Family, an organization Kyrie was allied with that held vast wealth. Kasumi was forced to marry Matou Kariya, who used the marriage to gain power within the Sonozaki Family. When the Sumadera Patriarch was found hanged in his room, Kyrie, who held technically higher rank on the Sonozaki Family, became the next family head, and Kasumi (& her son Kieran) were for all intents and purposes banished and became civilians.
When conflict surged within the Sonozaki Family, Kyrie had an assassination put on Sonozaki Akane and her family, that although failed, forced them to flee the property, and the Sumadera Family and its allies took control of the Sonozaki Estate. The reformed Matou Family allied with them, and the Yamai Syndicate had an "informal deal" to help their cause on the condition no more attempts at Akane's life were conducted by them.
Kiryu Kazuma broke into the Sonozaki Estate and defeated their forces along with high-ranking members of the organization. His entrance allowed the Coolsville Police to breach in, forcing most of the members that weren't arrested to flee.
