A businessman with an uncountable amount of money and an ancient artifact, Maximillion Pegasus is a temporal antagonist and then ally in Yu-Gi-Oh!

Businessman at the Eye of the Millennium[edit | edit source]

Pegasus J. Crawford (later known as Maximillion Pegasus for his incredible amounts of money) was a young boy heir of a rich businessman, with an interested in artistry. One day, he met a girl named Cyndia, whom he instantly fell in love with. Yet this love was not meant to last, as she died a few years later at the age of 17. Pegasus, heartbroken, would then spend years searching for a way to reunite with her, and this eventually lead him to Egypt, where he got a mysterious item called the Millennium Eye, and discovered the ancient dueling of the Egyptians, that he later turned into an incredibly profitable card game.

TFR/Season 2[edit | edit source]

His Millennium Eye has shown Pegasus a vision he can only realize in one place, and that is in TFR. With a little help from all his riches.

Episode 1

But first, he needs to find a way into the company, so he's offered a match for a contract. But, Todoroki Shoto wins...

Episode 2

Not letting this go by, he interjected Shoto's attempt at becoming a wrestler by offering a deal the board of directors couldn't reject, fulfilling his plan to become more prominent in TFR by completely replacing him in the King of the Ring Board Tournament.

Episode 4

As another man in the business industry, Robert fights for the Kinoplex, but it is no match to Industrial Illusions.

Episode 5

Episode 6[edit | edit source]

Dutch van der Linde, in all his planning magnificence, asked Pegasus out to help fund not only a plan that will take Todd Howard out, but also make everyone involved insanely richer! Pegasus however declined his "nice" offer, as he has his own plans in how to defeat him already underway.

The finals turn to be two men who wormed their way into the tournament, yet only one of them had the right to be its champion. Sure as is, Pegasus wins the King of the Ring Board Tournament and becomes the first King of the Ring, crowning /a/ as the King of the Boards.

Episode 8
Used the Power of Money to create the Anti-Todd Corps, a group of TFR "champions" making an effort to defeat The Dark Prince of Zenimax, and named an old friend friend of his that goes way back, Erwin Smith, as Commander of the team.

Episode 9

The soldiers to resist the Demon King are now all gathered as Fred Jones, Aniki, Ricardo Milos and Majima Goro listen intently to (but completely disregard) Erwin Smith's counter-attack plan. Pegasus enters the room and claps to such great planning, reminding everyone if they don't follow Erwin's orders, not only will they live in the Howard Reality but in the Shadow Realm as well. Back on topic, Erwin announces King Pegasus has also hired The Mystery Masters as Intelligence Team.

Episode 10[edit | edit source]

Pegasus BTFOing Erwin in a """Friendly""" Training Arc match

The conference room now gathers most of the Locker Room. Thanks to the intelligence team (and them alone) Erwin announces they have learned of the Mind-Link's true purpose, and the plan is two-pronged: a group will defend the Locker Room, and another will confront Todd's forces. Either way, each victory will weaken the demon's strength. After all's said and done, someone will go to strike directly.

But for now, it's the time to train. Before the conference can end, a seething Nero bursts through the door asking for Dante before leaving just as hurriedly and enraged when nobody knows where he is.

Pegasus faces Erwin in a training arc and defeats him. Not looking good...

Episode 11

When the Demon King War begins, Erwin losses to a neutral party during his match. Pegasus is unsure if he's fit to continue commanding the force...

Episode 12

Unbeknownst to him until it was too late, Erwin had decided to make up for his lack as a commander by pulling one final gamble and potentially sacrificing himself. For the greater good, he liberated and distracted Todd's caged beast, Doomguy, drawing his ire in the process and paying with his life. But in turn, this allowed the Demon King to be defeated by two demonic brothers.

TFR/Season 3[edit | edit source]

A steep price had been taken to defeat the Demon King... Pegasus had to mourn the death of his dear friend Erwin...

Episode 0[edit | edit source]

Pegasus was greatly hit by Erwin's passing away. Even tough he seemed smug and uncaring in the outside, even vile and vindictive sometimes too, he really cared about his friends more than anything, and all he wanted was for them to appreciate him too. Erwin... his right-hand, the greatest strategist he met even... he was there to help him when his wife Cyndia passed away... maybe even replaced her in a way, and now he's gone as well. The money and the crown are useless, but carrying on Erwin's legacy is what will fuel Pegasus forwards; Stevie-boy better prepare, for Erwin becomes champion today.

Pegasus' agony seems to have left him even deeper scarred than previously believed, as he walked to the ring as if someone was present along with him... and it might've been enough to throw Armstrong off.

Episode 1

Erwin is gone, yet to him, he's still there and he wants to carry his legacy. Erwin will become champion.

He's also gone completely insane.

Episode 2

Arthur tells Pegasus that he's acting crazier than Dutch, and has gotta let go. And let go of the title as well, otherwise he'll have to take it from him the "hard way"...

Episode 3

Since Arthur-boy wants the "hard way", and Erwin agrees, Pegasus will do as he says... a Last Man Standing, that is. Donning a "new Millennium Item", the Millennium Scouter, that a friend nowhere near as special as Erwin made him, Arthur is completely outclassed and completely curbstomped in the ring.

Episode 4

Pegasus explains to an Erwin Smith from the past how he needs to take revenge on Doom-boy (and in fact had it already scheduled it so), even though this Erwin doesn't even know Pegasus yet.

Before going back to the present, Pegasus protests about losing Erwin again...

Episode 6

Pegasus still holds on to the title that meant so much to Erwin, but the priest desires the title in the present time and won't accept any wait. To retain the title, Pegasus even uses Erwin's Die For Me against the priest to keep it.

Episode 9

Standing before the grand finale, Pegasus says that one day he will buy this entire arena and rename it "Wrestling Kingdom". Erwin had dreamed about this day... ever since he was a kid... to defend a championship in such a dire situation. He will make Erwin's dream come true once again.

Even if he had to inflict horrible pain on Chris-boy and Danny-boy, he wanted to keep the title... but it ends in the hands of the evil Dan "The Candy Van" Schneider.

TFR/Season 4[edit | edit source]

After such a defeat, Pegasus left wrestling for a while after having failed Erwin, his dear Erwin, once again.

Episode 5

Returns to fight a powerful opponent, and may have used his Millenium Eye to see through The Prince's time trickery.

Episode 6

Fights against the king of tarps.

Defeats the mighty King o' Ingurland.

TFR/Season 5[edit | edit source]

Team Candidates won and gained the Immunity.

Episode 4

On the third trial, Pegasus defeats Akagi Shigeru and escapes the special card trial.

Episode 6[edit | edit source]

Erwin... This whole game... It reminds me so much of you!

Friendships... Rivalries... You were both my greatest friend and my greatest rival once!

Isn't that funny, Erwin? Isn't it? Ahahahah!

I even took your move and made it stronger! I'm having great success using it!

And what about my title reign? Wasn't that great? You're a big part of why I got those wins!

It's always great to remember the good times, isn't it?

It's like you're still here with me...

Hahahah! What am I talking about? You've always been right here, haven't you?

I'm talking to you right now!

Or maybe... Maybe I'm just about to join you... Soon enough...

Pegasus is placed in the Main Vote, receiving 0 votes. Via Majority Vote, Samoa Joe, Hachijo Tohya, James Sunderland, Patrick Bateman, and Walter are sentenced to the wild ride.

Episode 8[edit | edit source]

Erwin... Why is this? I already thought I was close to join you, but...

Why do I feel your presence... Stronger than ever, right now?

Are we... Are we going to that place?

That place I saw through my eye? That wonderful, peaceful land?

This early...?

Are you really coming to get me this early, Erwin?

Are you sure about this?

Hah... Who am I to ask, right now? I always joked about your decisions...

But deep down, I always trusted them. I knew you'd lead us to a good future.

And that you did, my dear friend... I'm so proud of you.

Erwin... Is it... Time to go?

Are we... Playing the game... Again?

For the fourth trial, Pegasus faces a Doll of Erwin Smith for Immunity.

Episode 10

With their only chance, everyone tries to escape through the newly discovered "Wild Ride Door". However, what they find, is the lifeless bodies of those sentenced to the wild ride.

Pegasus is free from the trial with his immunity.

Episode 12[edit | edit source]

Two best friends watching a movie. Or maybe it's the afterlife theater...?

Pegasus reaches The Final Trial, despite his constant wish to reunite with Erwin. When the question "What does SC stand for?", La Parka puts Drake, Pegasus and Wright up. Pegasus answers only with "Sorry, Commander..."

This is the only way I could apologize...

For letting you down... For allowing you to go...

I wouldn't allow any of us to die in a question game...

We must die in battle. There's no other way I'd rather go out.

Drake, I'm sure you'll be a worthy opponent... Friend.

After Agent 47's defeat, Pegasus participates in The Final Rumble of the death game, losing, and dying.

TFR/Season 6[edit | edit source]

The Return
The Return

Pegasus and Erwin are finally reunited at last in death.

Episode 5

Due to their ideals, Pegasus and Erwin are revived by Sminem Corporation to participate in the tournament hosted by The Three Kings, King of the Boards Tournament III, to compete for a chance to join the kings faction's shared dream of reaching The Promised Land. Initially, Erwin was already allowed to reach The Promised Land, but he took this opportunity to allow Pegasus to join as well.

The Final Gamble representing /a/ defeats /tv/ and advances to the Quarter-Finals.

Episode 9

/a/ defeats /lit/ and advances to the Semi-Finals.

Episode 11

/a/ defeats /wsg/ and advances to the Finals.

Episode 12[edit | edit source]

Finally, /a/ defeats /s4s/ and wins the tournament.

However, the announcers reveal that after crowning /a/ as the King of the Boards, now they must fight to the "death" (since they are already dead) for one of them to become the King of the Ring and reach The Promised Land, and the other to die in this ruinous world.

Erwin does't accept to do this, but Pegasus tells him that he's still the warrior who wants to rebel against the evils of this world that he met so long ago.

We shall obey their orders. One more match. Just the two of us. Let's play the game.

Give it your all, Erwin. I want to see what you're capable of.

And... I'm sure that if we go through with this... We will meet again one day. This is my gamble.

Pegasus defeats Erwin, and honoring his sacrifice, will reach The Promised Land.

Episode 17

At the end of Suou Tatsuya's struggle, before the end of the world, Pegasus is glad that they can have these final moments together, and Erwin still believes in his gamble, that they will someday meet again.

TFR/Season 0[edit | edit source]

A powerful businessman noting for creating the basis for a popular card game, Pegasus is an intelectual opponent who uses overwhelming tactics to get what he wants. However, it continually appears as if something else is in his mind... that's why people imagine he decided to suddenly join wrestling one day when TFR started.

Episode 1

Pegasus shows up to have a word with his opponent Phoenix Wright and congratulate him that for someone so early in his career to get this chance, it must really be something worthy of praise. But Wright denies looking for praise, then, Pegasus asks him, what DOES he look for? Has he ever asked himself that? Who he is fighting for? Pegasus then leaves, but the questions really exasperates Wright, although the "fighting for someone" part lingers in his head...

Episode 3

Pegasus overhears Majima Goro talking to himself and asks if he's seeing spirits or something to talk to, but Majima asks if he really has a clue of what to do when they fight without any lackey, as the bonds between Shimano boys is deeper than the ones bought from bank accounts. Pegasus laughs it off and can't wait to fight him at his strongest cards. Majima calls him pretentious as he walks away...

Episode 4

Much like he foresaw with his millenium eye, he defeated the mad dog and became the champion.

Episode 6

The announcer signals that next up, the current champion Pegasus will address the crowd and the current #1 contender, Potemkin, as well as a surprise opponent. And for the special occasion, Bevi will be joining on commentary, during the match. A lucky opportunity for the audience to witness his words of wisdom.

Pegasus affirms that he will do whatever it takes to win the TFR title, because he fights for what he believes in, for the people he believes in. Unlike The Circus who use Potemkin as a tool, Pegasus fights with his heart, or maybe even two, as there's another person who really gives him his strength. And that's why he fears no circus, no Potemkin, and definitely no surprise opponent.

Suddenly, Erwin's theme starts playing. Pegasus' confident expression drops, and after a moment, he quickly turns his head to the commentators table, where Bevi (and his coincidentally similar entrance theme) still sits. For a moment he's filled with hope, which falls when his opponent turns out to be a surprise hoyman, and all of his hope turns into burning rage.

Episode 7[edit | edit source]

Even despite the clown's attempts at cheating, Pegasus denies the schizos the honor of the title to only have his own brand of schizo holding it.

Episode 8

However, the clowns' cheating ways don't stop there and Hisoka steals a contendership chance by pinning Pegasus in a champion free-for-all match.

Episode 9

Hisoka is accompanied to the ring by fellow clown Joker in a in a classic showing of the circus' tactics, but Pegasus, seeing something like this coming, contacted two persons who stand against the clowns' evil ways who agreed to become Pegasus cheerleaders helpers during the match: Aniki & Ricardo. With their help, Pegasus is able to save the title from a clowning of a future.

Episode 10

Pegasus is an accomplished champion in all senses of the word, but something he isn't is a king, and more than that there was another very important thing missing from him. For that reason, he uses his contacts to enter the NXT's King of /v/ Tournament on an only technically valid category as /dmg/, and by winning, he would be adding another milestone to his long and successful career, and what could be perhaps the last step needed to obtain what is most dear to him...

Pegasus' King of /v/ Tournament ending:
With another accolade added to his illustrious career, Pegasus now aims to use his power and influence to find and bring back his greatest friend, Erwin. From then on, there were multiple posters with Erwin's face at every corner, and he would constantly be shown at every outdoor and TV broadcast. His face became so known around Coolsville that he was elected the most handsome man of the year. It was now inevitable for Pegasus to finally reunite with his old friend.

Episode 11

His next challenge to the TFR title is a monster proper controlled by another duelist, but he's used to dueling with them already and had set several trap cards.

Episode 13

Calls commentator Bevi a two-bit punk for how he commentated over his match.

Episode 14

Bevi not only commentates his own match live from the ring, but along him came three angry men who Pegasus had previously screwed out of getting the title. However, none of that made him any more lucky when it came the time for the fall, and it was his luck which failed this time. Luck may play a part, but there's no room for luck when you're playing the game.

While everybody was distracted, JONAH cartwheeled past security and into the ring. #JONAHISHERE, and challenged Pegasus for his belt. Even without having any backstage pull on this guy, Pegasus was able to defend the title from him.

Despite losing his title to the court's judgement... no matter how many times he he has to restart... how many block his way... if the company burns down... their gamble still stands. Holy Belt or not, he'll find a way... to meet his old friend again.

Episode Extra

With the war against Amon Elite Wrestling nearing its end, a rumble is held to determine who will challenge the Amon's secret weapon.

TFR/Season 7[edit | edit source]

ting ting ting
ting ting ting

Maximillion Pegasus is a powerful businessman who owns the biggest card game company in the world. However, he always seems like something is in his mind.

Episode 1/TFR

And that is, because Pegasus remembers. The reason he's still fighting, a promise. That's everything he's been thinking about. And that's why he has to reach the top, because of that final gamble. Even if Erwin is a different person now, he can't afford to stop, until they are side-by-side again.

Then, Hope-boy appears to tell him that from the despair Pegasus finds himself in, soon, a beautiful hope will bloom. Komaeda wants to fight that despair, to win and make a greater despair that'll bring even greater hope, or lose and confirm his hope is already strong enough.

Episode 2/TFR

As Pegasus does another monologue, Kotomine Kirei walks in, commending him for his display of cruelty last time around, and guesses that his goals are the same: The Holy Belt. Many have tried, but none have realized what may just be a legend, but Pegasus knows well why he's taking a gamble on it. Backed into a corner, he offers Kirei to be loyal to him were he to defeat him in combat.

Episode 3

After his defeat, Kirei has the right to command him around, and as a good businessman he has to honor a deal. Pegasus accepts his way with words is flawless, but he won't allow the priest to get into his head. Kirei doesn't hide his intentions that with different goals, once they reach the belts, conflict is inevitable, but he hopes to stay in good terms, that is until this planet reaches it's ultimate ruin and he's proud of contributing to that.

Pegasus begs Erwin for forgiveness in sinning and accepting the deal with the priest.

However, Pegasus reconsiders, and takes control of the match by letting the priest get pinned.

Episode 4/TFR

Pegasus proves that it was not him who need Kirei, and that he was never in control. If they have become worthy of the belts, only then will they make it to the top. Kirei gives Pegasus one last chance, and if they fail, then Kirei will make his suffering one of his desires. That was just the answer Pegasus was expecting.

Keeping his promise, Kirei defeats Mystery Inc. with Pegasus supporting him in the ring.

Episode 5/TFR

Again, Kirei defeats both members of The Hacks with Pegasus' support.

Episode 6/TFR[edit | edit source]

Nine stars post, Kirei-boy!

When they finally reach the opportunity to gain the titles, Kirei eliminates Donte, but, Pegasus can't do the same to Vorgin.

However, after Phoenix Wright quit during the draft, a rumble is held for the next GM spot, and Pegasus determination drives him to the top, and he wins, defeating Robert, Carlos, and even Kirei and Akasaka Mamoru for it.

Pegasus finally reached his goal.

Episode 7/TFR[edit | edit source]

Pegasus opens the broadcast by stating that not only have they accepted Bogdanoff Championship Wrestling declaration of war, but taken it one step further. They shall hold a one night tournament two weeks from now, and the loseing wrestling federation shall vanish into the shadow realm.

Kirei interrupts him to inform Pegasus... that he has not forgotten his promise. Pegasus acts high and mighty, but Kirei tells him to think about what he said, and leaves. Pegasus promises that to save Erwin before anything befalls him.

Sminem congratulates Pegasus on the announcement and his booking, and decides to get him an assistant to ease his workload: Mr. Furio Tigre. Pegasus is doubtful of him, but commands him to go and give a contract to the man who can lead the forces against BCW: Erwin Smith.

Furio comes back, but... he claims Sminem thought it wasn't worth it, and hands him the list with the finalized qualifiers competitors. Even more, he found someone better than "that Erwin" to spend the budget on, and goes to fight him in his debut before Pegasus can even respond.

Episode 8/TFR

A moment before the final match of the previous broadcast...

Furio shows up to tell Pegasus that he just got word from Sminem that any and all Karate-related moves are banned, and that anyone who performs them will be fired on the spot. Furio lying about Sminem again, Pegasus realizes exactly what he needs to do to defeat him: reverse the tactics on him.

With free time, Pegasus plans out how he will defeat Furio by targeting those around him, take their souls and turn them into cards. Bevi is his first target, and the rests of his proteges will disappear too. He shall bear his same pain, Pegasus won't rest until all their souls are on his hands. For the sake of Erwin.

Episode 9[edit | edit source]

Pegasus taunts Furio about being short on wrestlers, but Furio rebutes that it was all his plan to see BCW's pre-picked wrestlers and then announce the matchups. However, Furio panics when Bevi doesn't show up, and decides to put him higher on the card to make up for his delay. Pegasus is glad his attacks have already had an effect.

Later on the night, when Furio is about to pick who will replace Bevi, Pegasus cuts in to say that Akasaka Mamoru will do it, and the ban on Karate is lifted as well. And as he's working harder, he'll have a VIP pass too, if he can win his match. Furio is beyond miffed by this.

At the end of the night after Furio is arrested, Pegasus can rest easy knowing he accomplished his goal.

Just when Carlos-boy had won the rumble's runner-up prize of a King of Jobbers contendership right after he had the title taken from him, poor lad didn't realize he was playing the game, and Pegasus had no choice but to take the chance for him.

Episode 28[edit | edit source]

Fredy-boy put one hell of a strong front with all those percs and his veteran status, but that wouldn't deter Pegasus at all from taking the Literal Jobbers title for himself.

Now he's just one title away from his triple crown victory.

Episode 31

Participates in the Beat The Clock challenge and is the winner of the 5th fastest match. Since he won his match, he gets to compete for the King of Jobbers championship against the other winners, and defeats them to claim the contendership.

Episode 32

Episode 33

After the tragic event at the last main event featuring Spazz Maticus, Pegasus is sad to announce that TFR has come to terms with the release of the /v/ World Championship. In its place, the TFR Championship has been reinstated and a new champion will be crowned at the main event between the previous royal rumble's last 2 participants, additionally a tournament will be held for it's next contender as well.

To everybody's surprise, Kirei's opponent is... Pegasus himself (since he was never eliminated from the rumble), and he gains the TFR title (which he never lost in the first place).

Episode 34: Great Balls of Fire

A deep psychological match for the TFR title, as much as Kyle struggled and denied Pegasus' specials, a single Die For Me ended Hyde, showing it was no struggle at all.

The Extinct Light[edit | edit source]

Pegasus had bid his time while gracefully managing TFR with utmost quality and dedication, but...

Episode 1[edit | edit source]

For the person reading this, allow me to start with one simple question:

"TFR is in trouble". "TFR is finished". "There is no way TFR can survive this".

How many times have you heard those phrases? If I were to guess... Probably as many as I did.

They might even be right, sometimes. I do not believe we are in a good state right now. If you have taken a look at the latest batches of talent that came in... None of them seems to have "it".

Looking at our latest #1 contender to the world title, you could have an idea of what I'm talking about.

Yet, every single time, night after night, we lived through it. That "final rumble" never came. Because the show must go on, above all else. The rumble must continue. That is what I wish for.

However, my loyalty lies somewhere else. Or, to be more precise, with someone else. And that person, the one I owe it all to... Is out there.

That's why I cannot waste any more time. I need to find them. I need to repay my debts. And I need to fulfill my promise.

Because of that, you will not hear of me for quite some time.

Until we meet again,

That's what the note found on the GM Office's desk by Central and Roger Retinz said, as they scrambled to keep the show going and figure what to do with the now-absent world title championship.

TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]

Since the letter left at TFR, Pegasus has completely vanished from Coolsville, with rare claims of being seen in different parts of the world.

Episode 1

After contracting the help of his old "friend" Kaiba Seto, their fruitless search brings them to some lowly outlaw wrestling pub in UK. Upon mentioning Erwin or TFR, it's instantly clear the residents are not fond of either term, but this only makes Pegasus more decided to search harder and pay any amount, which should make Kaiba all the more eager to achieve their goals. About the backyard wrestling promotion near, despite bearing no info on their search Kaiba notices something strange, as they book huge arenas only to tarp them all over; making profit like that seems doubtful at best, almost like if money was being injected from somewhere...

Just then, a man calling himself "The Cleaner" kicks down the door and tells the "pegasussy"-looking guy to keep from prying into affairs that don't concern him. After stating he's not concerned about "young talent", Pegasus' inquiry about "Erwin" gets ignored, and Kaiba states the man to be a big name known as Kenny Omega; since asking what else he knows only prompts him to respond that he's not telling to anyone wearing a "pegacoat" like him, both Kaiba and Pegasus decide to shut him up.

After Pegasus is confident he put him out, Kaiba ominously says there's a reason he's a feared man in this country as Kenny quickly gets up and readies his ultimate move, even stronger than the One-Winged-Angel... but begins clutching his stomach and quickly loses the ability to speak conscisely due to pain and falls down. Upon asking if Pegasus planned for this, Kaiba is answered that he did not but assesses his reaction to be possibly caused by assAIDS, and to call an ambulance for immediate anal bleeding treatment. After that, he's sure this country is a dead end and prepares to leave... for Mexico.

Episode 2

AAA, CMLL, the independent scene... and still no sign of that man. Kaiba hasn't made any progress in his investigation either, but he discovered 'The Cleaner', the man who attacked them and they barely remember, had reasons to believe they were prying into a company he's associated with, a place that shouldn't exist, and isn't allowed to exist, but still exists... and has a quite absurd name, The Illegal Rumble. And the bad news don't end there, because they have an easier time performing overseas where it's not-so-illegal, and in fact they are in a crossover event with them...

Mexican #1: UN FORASTERO!

Then... a legend of Mexico emerges: La Parka. Someone with such a great influence he's been nicknamed 'King of Hell' (naturally, just a funny name), and seems he's related to TIR's operations. He says he "wasn't expecting to see them here but this is as far as they go", "TFR has made them lose important people in the past and they won't import luchadores anymore, and in fact as the outlaws in his kingdom... they'll face the consequences". Pegasus naturally understands nothing of what he says, but if he wants to play the game, his Toon Summoned Skull looks much more menacing.

"The King of Frauds" more like, Parka-boy let down his country, but it seems the mexicans won't let them get away and they don't stand a chance without Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon... just then, a bell rings through the whole city.

Mexican #1: La campana...

Mexican #2: Tenemos que irnos...

La Parka: Tienes suerte, Pegaso.

Es hora... Del nuevo episodio de Dragon Ball Bebé...

Veamos... Bebé Goku vs Bebé J...

...Where's everyone going? Bingo?

Episode 3

UK, Mexico... and now Japan, they've traveled all over the world and still not a sign of him. Pegasus had a feeling he would be here too, even headed to the biggest company, but it seems his instincts have failed, for all they could find were geeks like "Ricky Bobby" and a guy stealing Kaiba's gimmick. This next promotion might be their last hope. In the crowd, Ryuki Kuruto walks up to Pegasus, claiming he came to see Toru Yano but couldn't help but notice Pegasus in the crowd, and despite still trying to make it big in AEW because he loves wrestling so much, asks an autograph of his TFR hero, but Pegasus is too busy to care for that pissant company and redirects him to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Once gone, Pegasus repeats what he told Kaiba countless times, this new generation... they're "just happy to be there", they "love the sport", such attitudes disgusts him profoundly.

Such words being uttered are picked by the worst ears possible, as Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson, whom they say are "killing the business", even if that were the case, they're doing it to protect the ART, not make money but FRIENDS, have FUN, and make wrestling BETTER than how they found it. And that's why Illegal Rumblers like themselves must put an end to his power trip... with a SUPERKICK PARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!! As his mood starts to sour, Pegasus asks Kaiba why they are like this, who brings up the information that they're "the wrestlers that love to wrestle wrestlers in the wrestling ring, The Young Bucks, superkicks and canadian destroyers specialists with multiple 7-star bouts" who can kick out of anything he throws at them, so Kaiba takes special pills that will allow him to wrestle through his injury.

Half an hour, tons of superkicks, several double 630s, and one Meltzer Driver later, the bucks finally realize Pegasus and Kaiba have disengaged and left the arena, and call them out for not allowing them to restart their 3-hour match since they can't reach enough kicked-out-of finishers to get 8-stars anymore, calling Pegasus a senile, toxic old worker who hates bangers. Outside the arena, Pegasus and Kaiba are clueless of where That Man could be, but Pegasus is sure he must still be wrestling out there somewhere, for he won't give up, won't fold on his gamble. Since they're nearby, Kaiba remembers of a good hot spring where they can gather their thoughts, bit of a weird owner though, and since there's no planes until the next day, Pegasus decides to go, he did visit such a place with Erwin once...

Episode 4

While trying to relax at the hot springs after travelling all over the world, Pegasus thinks about how Erwin would already be strategizing about his future matches here... Kaiba is amused that there's some things not even money can buy, even if he didn't think simple information would be one of them. The owner of the place can't help but overhear them talking, and is reminded of his childhood friend, a ring general and natural leader of men, and more than anything, the hope in his eyes was just... Pegasus wastes no time asking if he's the same Erwin Smith they were talking about, which the owner says that's right the name he's going by. Kaiba can't believe the answer was right under their noses, and Pegasus pleads for his current living location; the owner says that when they parted ways a while ago he left for Ingerland. He can't believe he didn't think of that, but Pegasus asks Kaiba to make preparations post-haste. Erwin... he'll be found.

Episode 6[edit | edit source]

Truly a wonderful nation, exclaims Pegasus. Kaiba questions if he's hasn't been slacking a bit too much, but Pegasus hasn't just been taking in the sights and splendor of Erwin's hometown, but waiting for the day promised in the posters plastered all around town: Erwin Smith's open challenge! A camera crew suddenly appears, seemingly appreciating the scenery as well, before heading to Pegasus' direction. The man first and front, Zeke Yeager, introduces the "TFR Phenom himself" to the camera before introducing himself as "Mr. Beast". Pegasus can't say he's heard of a Mr. Beast, but Kaiba mentions he runs a massive channel aimed at kids, and to be wary of what he says. On the other hand, he knows about Zeke Yeager himself, part of TFR from the earliest days before a TV deal... he keeps tabs on all old talent, after all. Zeke overheard him before about taking the open challenge, and he is in fact collaborating with the local promotion and grabbing scenic views for a nice intro since it's his homeland too. An old timer and from this place? Pegasus is overjoyed, but Zeke modestly says he was nobody back in TFR and offers Pegasus to collaborate on the video, but since he's busy 'visiting an old friend', Zeke gets back to work.

Kaiba notes that his crew looked quite familiar, before turning to Pegasus and wondering why Erwin never looked for him instead... a foolish question. The cruel fate imposed upon him when he lost, back then... that he would not remember, not have any recollection of what they went through... but he still believes in his final gamble, until the day they cross paths again, and that day is today. As Pegasus makes off in haste, Kaiba is left befuddled as always by his "old world" talk, and on a daze stops to check one of the posters Pegasus was talking about: "OPEN CHALLENGE - ERWIN SMITH"... but, something is weird, almost unreadable in the corner... "the 2nd"...?

The sheer disgust Pegasus felt made him instantly bury that shitter stealing his precious friend's name and considers to use the ultimate punishment by sending him to the Shadow Realm. Erwin's final gamble... he will hold onto it, cling to it, until his last breath. At that moment, Ryuki Kuruto, overheard them and remembers they've been looking for him as far back as in Japan, so he offers to show them the place he knew where Mr. Smith lived, but Pegasus heart can't stand to be toyed with anymore today and tells him he's committing to a grave prank. To prove his truth, Ryuki brings out a badge that demonstrates Erwin was a mentor to him in the world of wrestling, reading "Erwin Smith's Wrestling Dungeon" Kaiba can't deny the craftmanship in it, which deters it being amateur work. Countless leads, chased shadows, what's one more? Kaiba asks Pegasus if he's sure, but Erwin's creed was to "Advance!", and for truth, so they shall.

They arrived... to Erwin's house. Each knock echoes like a drumbeat, marking the tempo of their anxious hearts, every second starts to feel like an hour, images of the time spent together were flowing through his mind. After a while the door finally opened, and someone never seen before came out. The person greets Ryuki and wonders what brought him here, which he states was crossing roads with Erwin's old friend, and the person wonders if it could be... Pegasus? The relief he feels knowing Erwin has mentioned him before is immense, the gamble paid off! The person confirms he has mentioned him plenty... in the last days of his life, and introduces herself proper as Erwin's widow. Erwin... he passed away peacefully a few weeks ago, like he was having an everlasting dream.

Is he... being played with? Has his search been nothing but a source of amusement? Pegasus manages to regain his composure a bit and ask: why didn't Erwin come to find him? He wouldn't just leave him behind in sea of uncertainty. His widow notes he doesn't look like one to loses his composure easily, so it must be quite a shock, and tells him about the letter Erwin left behind near the end of his life; despite his old age he spoke with such clarity about his old friend as if rejuvenated by the memories. Pegasus unfolds the letter...

In it, Erwin apologizes for not telling him in person, but he's come to terms with it, for that's what a gamble is, and it would put his soul at peace if Pegasus does too. His early life in this universe... ever since childhood, he took an interest in wrestling, and decided that art form would be my life's work. He trained and perfected his craft, wrestled all over the world, and put the best years of his career in early TFR with legends such as Sonozaki Steven, Ushiromiya Kinzo, Antonio Inoki, and others. When he started winding down, he opened his own school at his house's basement, the "Dungeon". Passing his knowledge forward was a way to stay connected with that world, even after his in-ring career was over, and he had many students over the years which he was delighted to see succeed and shape the future of the business. It was at the end of his life that he started to remember everything, memories like vivid dreams playing in his head, flooding in out of nowhere... But once he saw his friend in TFR on live TV... he knew they were 100% real. But he was already too old, in this new world he was born way before him, and his health was deteriorating. He couldn't go after him. Or perhaps, he didn't want the image of a pitiful old man to be seen by his friend before he departed—to keep different memories.

"On my last days... I feel no sorrow, Pegasus. I met many great people. I helped wrestling reach the heights it has reached today. I lived a long, happy life." "And I hope you'll get to be as happy and accomplished as I was, yourself. As your friend, and your partner. I'll be watching over you."

Kaiba, Ryuki, and the widow stare at Pegasus... he's crying. The widow mentions he was an extraordinary man, and that his note contains a postscript which he was initially debating not to include. In it, he mentions his one regret, other than not seeing his dear friend in his life. The last of his students... his work lay unfinished, and the heights he could reach lay unreachable. Pegasus... the one last favor he asks, is finish his training, bring out the star inside him. He sent him to Coolsville recently, their paths should cross at some point. Finish training... Ryuki Kuruto.

Episode 10

Too little selling, too much hurry, Ryuki tries to imitate Pegasus but he is neither at that level nor has he paid enough dues to pull that off. For the time being, Pegasus calls it there, silently becoming more annoyed as Ryuki claims he'll use the spare time to come up with "cool new moves", as if wrestling was all about that. At such lack of understanding of ring psychology, Pegasus questions his efforts and its capacity to bear fruit on such "soil", admitting he's not a qualified teacher for the task with his attitude towards "newcomers"... but he can't give up because of the fundamental reason behind all this... He decides to take a break, and leaves Erwin's training grounds. In town. Pegasus comes across "Mr. Beast" again, who assumes he must have liked the land, and although Pegasus agrees it's a nice place, it's put him through the kind of hard time that has him reevaluating his perceptions and values, and even his entire life. After hearing that, Zeke offers to help since there's this new venture he's investing on, but Pegasus fundamentally rejects the offer since this is task he needs to tackle head-on. Zeke is disappointed, but on the meantime says he'll be on his way to his next destination, since he's recording videos all over the world, although hectic, had him deal with and learn from all sorts of locals and things. Just then "Erwin Smith II" passes by with Zeke's crew, enraging Pegasus at the mere sight, which prompts Zeke to explain they hired him since they were short on staff―their production is global so they need a lot of people, and local talent is a perfect fit so they hire a ton of it. Either way, Zeke notices how dedicated Pegasus is to Erwin, and wonders where it'll take him next, saying a quick goodbye and leaving. From Zeke's words, Pegasus births an idea: maybe what Ryuki needs is exactly that sort of learning.

Episode 11[edit | edit source]

Although he's sorry for asking, Ryuki has to know... why did Pegasus take him to a British pub? for a fact he doesn't want to see him when he's drunk... the answer is quite simple: Ryuki needs to educate himself on their sacred art. He was still learning the fundamentals, so Pegasus figured Erwin didn't have time to teach how unique wrestling culture is around the world. If there's one thing valuable in British wrestling, it's technique: not only the execution of grapples and holds, but also ring psychology; there's no better place to learn about match pacing, limb targeting, and of course, good old mat work. Moreso, one can't consider himself a proper wrestler without knowing how to apply a proper headcrank. The trainee has only heard online that stuff like 'headcranks' would put the audience to sleep, but although such a repulsive thing is common from his generation of "talent", Pegasus tells him they simply don't have "it" and to not let it get to him. Back in the day, when Pegasus worked with some of the greatest ever, none of them would say something so absurd. Names like Tom Brady, Kuzunoha Raidou, Hagakure Yasuhiro... even Todoroki... Todoroki... who is right in front of them by the pool table. How lucky, for that's exactly what they needed at such a time.

Pegasus still remembers like yesterday when he got that contract... (and of course, Erwin was there too):

What Todoroki did merits Erwin's full thanks, for doing this favor and allowing Pegasus to join them which Erwin had been looking forwards to for a while, but Todoroki thanks them instead because he feels he fits right in NXT UK, and also gets to work on local indies which he couldn't in TFR. But the UK deal wouldn't be possible without Erwin, so Pegasus says they both ought to be thankful to him, which Erwin rejects on the grounds of not requiring flattery since that's just what he's here for. But just now... Erwin thought of a way to get some heat on Pegasus to kickstart his career, and asks Todoroki to help them out, who is more than willing to hear it.

...always the mastermind, Pegasus thinks to himself.

He has an idea, and asks Ryuki-boy to follow him, walking up to and greeting Todoroki like an old friend, who is surprised to see Pegasus here. Todoroki recalls that last time the must've met was when he broke the ring with Shrek, at that moment Pegasus realizing he's thinking of memories everyone but himself lacks and how hard it can be to keep track of that. Since they never go to talk much, Todoroki wonders if he'll go back soon since he's carrying that title around, but Pegasus says he has a mission to accomplish first. He introduces the young man next to him, and as you would expect of a rookie, he's just awful, but (after Ryuki's disheartened expression) corrects himself to say he wants to make sure his he's better than the current generation of wrestlers, as his friend's legacy depends on it―the moment he saw Todoroki, he knew he could learn from a fellow veteran. After a second of thinking, Todoroki agrees since he's used to inexperienced people in the indies, and he's sure the kid's got some skills. As Pegasus puts it, who better to teach this 29-year old rookie than an experienced 16-year old with hundreds of matches under his belt?

But it's wrong―all wrong! Ryuki doesn't think he did that bad, but it's not all about winning or losing; athletic reversals, chinlocks, armbars, Limb work and psychology―Pegasus asks what story was he trying to tell in that match? he didn't stop to think about it for even a second, he just wanted to get moves in and show athleticism, which he at least executed pretty well. But he needs to slow down! Soak it all in, and let the crowd do the same! Besides that... what did he learn about British wrestling? all Ryuki can think is how cool Todoroki was and that he should've shook his hand, but that's not the point either! What are they teaching wrestlers nowadays compared to back in his days? Ryuki tries to recall about AEW- but Pegasus shouts to forget about AEW and remember ONLY what Erwin taught him! Todoroki steps in to tell Pegasus that's enough and not be too harsh on the kid―and personally―he did real cool flips and stuff, he hopes the Observer rates it. After a minute of being speechless, Pegasus beckons Ryuki to follow him for his next destination.

A mysterious figure observes from the back of the bar, stating that no matter how committed he stays, they have friends all over the world who will be watching, no matter where they go.

Abilities[edit source]

Millenium Eye Can read minds, use precognition (Prediction), create, see through and dispel illusions, and even negate the power of other ancient relics.
Millenium Scouter Displays enemy information and predicts the next move.
An item created during the Dimensional Merge period when Pegasus didn't have his Eye as of yet. No longer needs it in the present so it was discarded.
