"You, I don't get. Why is it you do the things you do?" ― Richard, to Manny Pardo

A character from Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

A cop seeking a killer, who may also be a killer, who killed some cops.

Thick Skin and Deep Motives[edit | edit source]

And a real human bean

An exhausted and cynical cop seeking the "Miami Mutilator" who does things his way. Seemingly having delusions of power, Pardo sometimes dreams of himself in improbable scenarios like taking out a whole ship of the Colombian gang or a Police Station. At the same time, he seeks fame but complains that he feels the pressure of it "like being on a set", and having little personality outside of it as he talks mostly in movie cliches.

TFR/Season 3[edit | edit source]

"I was born with thick skin."
Pardo is decided to catch the Miami Mutilator and has has come to TFR seeking the last piece of evidence that leads him here. But the question is, can he catch his own shadow?

Episode 1

His first confrontation with Benoit, Pardo stomped him and chocked him to death, but it seems Benoit never really died.

Episode 3[edit | edit source]

It seems after that Pardo somehow discovered Benoit's trickery and laid 6 years in wait before confronting Benoit again, however, this time he was not holding back, and the two fought a battle for the destiny of who would live or die. During the match, the both of them fought at full power, Benoit revealed his nature as "The Lavos Wolverine" and showed his capabilities by regenerating the bloody limbs that Pardo had damaged to the point of uselessness, meanwhile Pardo's Thick Skin rendered him supremely resistant to damage, while he unleashed his more mutilating personality in battle. The battle endured for what seemed like hours, to the point the judges left and the audience was empty. Finally, Pardo used his full might to end Benoit once and for all, however, it was unforeseeable what a match like this may cause on his psyche, and in the end as he was leaving the stage, he was shot by a mysterious masked assailant.

It was not Pardo's time to sleep just yet, as he awoke in the Ring of Hell with Benoit behind him, at that moment, he knew the final battle for him had begun. In the end, Pardo grew hold of Benoit's neck and pushed with all his might, breaking it just like the first time they met even though he wasn't holding back anymore. With that Pardo finally got the revenge that he wanted and Benoit was trapped in hell, but so was him. But the real question is, why did Mr. Bones give him a second chance? Was he testing him?

Episode 4[edit | edit source]

However, 5 years later, Benoit managed to escape from hell, and as he was about to consume his revenge, Pardo tore open a rift on the ring and creeped behind Benoit, throwing him through the rift and back into hell, where he was engulfed in flames that rose from the opening.

It is believed Pardo sacrificed his soul just to be able to maintain Benoit dead, becoming one of Mr. Bones' dark champions as sacrifice, doing his bidding in the world of the living.

Episode 9

Fred... he knows everything about him and his crimes... he built up quite a reputation for his crimes against Coolsville, they even called him the "Coolsville Mutilator" in the independent circuit, but his time through is over, now that he's met his match.

TFR/Season 4[edit | edit source]

Now Pardo works for the King of Hell as his enforcer and executioner out of hell.

Episode 2

Failing Mr. Bones to maintain his title angered him, and as punishment forced him to fight his avatar / champion La Parka, obviously ending in a crushing defeat.

Episode 5

Mr. Bones forced his 2 servants to fight each other to escape punishment in a HiaC match, and Manny managed to escape, much to Doomguy's rage.

TFR/Season 5[edit | edit source]

Though Mr. Bones was defeated, he still serves Hell.

Episode 1

Despite being one of his servants, La Parka put him in the Death Game and places hin in a Majority Vote. He is considered a candidate.

He was subjected to a surprise Majority Vote, where he received 5 votes, concluding with HUNK being instantly sentenced to the wild ride.

Episode 2

Pardo and Akagi have to face against several other teams. They win Immunity for the week.

Episode 4

Two servants of hell face each other for La Parka's amusement. Pardo wins Immunity for the week.

Episode 6

La Parka introduces "dolls" to the Death Game, and Pardo has to fight against a doll version of the Miami Mutilator. Pardo wins Immunity for the week.

Episode 8

Postal Dude is revealed as the one who gave everyone their invitations into the death game.

Manny Pardo, Akagi Shigeru, Hiyori Sou, Senator Armstrong, Louis' Doll, Prince of Persia's Doll, Andrei Ulmeyda and Postal Dude's Doll fight for double the immunity on top of a ladder. Senator Armstrong wins the immunity for two weeks.

Episode 10

After Mr. X shuts down the death game using his stone and the participants make their way into the Wild Ride room, dolls of Miami Mutilator and Postal Dude obliterate Mr. X to smithereens after La Parka commands them to. As punishment, anyone without immunity now must challenge death matches and execute the losing opponent.

Miami Mutilator takes Pardo's gun and tells him that "Murderers always return to the scene of the crime". Upon being prompted about his identity, Mutilator says he can think of him as his son, and he'll have to take his gun back by force.

Pointing the gun to his head after his defeat, he tells Pardo that his 15 minutes of fame... are over.

Manny Pardo has expired.

This character died in the Death Game

TFR/Season 7[edit | edit source]

Somewhere else, the phantom of a being known as the Miami Mutilator still lingers...

Episode 8

After travelling The Vents for so long, Saihara and Leon both arrive at the Diamond Realm at the same time, where they are greeted by the Hagakure Yasuhiro of the old world, and told to perform a "training arc", producing two spirits known as the "Mystery Masters" (in some world at least), Manny Pardo and Adachi Tohru.

TFR/Off-Season 8[edit | edit source]

A strange detective, hellbent on catching some "Miami Mutilator", yet upon closer inspection, he might just be as hollow as the mutilator itself...

Episode 50

Aimed for the million dollar title to get his 15 minutes of fame, but not even his thick skin could survive a sadist almost as powerful as the Miami Mutilator itself.

Episode 55

Participates in the "Bad to the Bone Tournament".

The Extinct Light[edit | edit source]

A madman lurks the darkest reaches of Coolsville, and he is known as "The Coolsville Cutthroat", and in the case he might be lurking within TFR... Pardo will never give up the chase.

Episode 1

And now he might be within that chamber, seeking a new victim...

Episode 3

"Thick Skin" Manny Pardo participates in the Berserker Brawl tournament in Pool H.

They say "The Mixed Martial Arts Master" Kido Reiji has potential and Pardo has heard all about it, and it would be certainly something if he managed to fully realize it... but he also heard he wanders like a delinquent, getting into fights... that could put an end to his career... and even his life. And that's because, in this city... a crazed madman known as the Coolsville Cutthroat is out there. Although Reiji doesn't care, it's never known when the madman might cross your path, and Pardo is sure with fists like those he could make it big beyond his underground fighting gig. On Reiji's account though if some "Coolsville Cockhead" tried anything funny he'd be down before he knew it and tells Pardo to shut the hell up, decided to give Pardo a very real horror story in the ring instead.

Pardo can't say he didn't warn him about a throat being cut...

Episode 4

But not even his thick skins could save him from "The King of Kings" Lucid.

Episode 6

York investigates the crime scene with Zack, searching for the evidence he needs, and even thinks they've might have figured out the modus operandi. Quite reminiscent of 80s' slayer films actually, a pretty brutal scene, but what could have prompted it? Big Pussy was not known to make such kinds of enemies, seems unlikely to be a crime of passion.

Manny Pardo also arrives to investigate, but he has a simple theory: some idiot looking for his 15 minutes, or as he likes to call him, the Coolsville Cutthroat. Except, the victim's throat was not slashed as York points out, but the point is that he's dangerous and must be stopped. Some teenage boy talked to Pardo the other day, was going at night by himself, all ignorant of the danger lurking. The clueless civilians, they must be protected, at least on that they can agree on, and it's why York works tirelessly to solve this crime wave. And just then, an idea comes to York...

TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]

Pardo continues to give tireless chase to the one who lurks Coolsville's deepest depths and slashes at the innocent for his moment of glory. No matter how much Pardo is told to give up the case, he'll never stop his search for justice...

Episode 3

As he visits the scene of James Tomitake's murder behind Sneed's Feed & Seed, a mysterious man poking around, and they say murderers always return to the scene of the crime...

He's giving that bastard some real trouble, but then, a lightning flash gives away the identity of the assailant... Francis Zach Morgan, the man he met many times before on other cases. Pardo is double surprised―he thought he had the Coolsville Cutthroat cornered and ambushed, and because he figured he disappeared because the higher ups had told him to leave the case, it's dangerous just to touch it and even Pardo has been told the same, but he'd never give up the chase. Pardo hastily remembers he thought he dropped something in the crime scene, but since Morgan hasn't seen anything, Pardo recommends not to tackle the case alone. He's not afraid of that, but Morgan's not the one to deny any help, so Pardo figures he'll help him out.

Just as they are about to go back to the scene, the smell of smoke suddenly breaks into the place; the Coolsville Cutthroat must've been watching! As they make a run for it, a deranged laugh is heard in the distance...

Episode 4

Shortly after the fire, Pardo had managed to catch the perpetrator following a lengthy chase. Once he was brought to the authorities, Pardo and Morgan return to investigating...

An underworld hangout bar where the meanest sons of guns (like the Coolsville Cutthroat) always slither to, to chew over their dirty deeds and shadowy transactions, including Mafia City goons. If Pardo didn't have sources as solid as concrete, they'd be already sleeping with the fishes, speaking of which... they better start buying drinks to sway away the mean looks. Pardo gets a straight whiskey, and Morgan gets a look at the cocktails before taking "The Forbidden Sip", which Pardo heard they stir quicksilver in for that extra kick.

With their backs turned, V gives them both a cheap shot while announcing they've seem to got a "rat problem" in this place. V tells his guys to give 'em the one-way ticket to the afterlife while he gets to real places to do real business, so Richter, M. Goku, and Cow Tools get up and close in. Just as Morgan is thinking about facing them against the odds, he hears someone telling 'Frank' if he's not even gonna say hello, and Charles gets up from his chair and jumps in, shocking the thugs, Richter specially, before they regroup to attack.

Truth is, before Charles even got up, he gave the cops a call, so the assailants flee. The fight reminds York of of Steven Sonozaki's Out for Justice. 1991, directed by John Flynn. Date Kaname arrives at the scene, apologizing for his lateness since he was busy with the arson investigation, and since both Pardo and Zach were at the scene that night, they want to tell Date what went down. He'd order a drink... but this place doesn't even have any hostesses.

  • First appeared on Off-Season 2, debuted on the ring on Season 3 Episode 2
  • the real miami mutilator was the friends we made along the way
  • He finally caught the dreaded miami mutilator
  • Almost all of his victims were jannies, their wallets, upon closer inspection, were all empty. Even his godlike detective intuition keeps drawing blanks ''WHY DO THEY ALL KEEP DOING IT FOR FREE!?'' he thinks to himself, never coming to a conclusion.
