Okabe can hardly believe there was an entire organization with their same goal as preventing the future he saw, but it is not over yet, as one of the heads of the organization, Sminem, is still missing.

Keiichi thinks that not everyone can grasp just how serious the situation really is, and tries to put it into words:

TFR... BCW... they were just being put against their own friends!

Being scripted by demons behind the scenes... Booking... forcing storylines... creating their twisted story... but they miscalculated. Miscalculated that the ending had already been seen!

Fate is as fragile as wet paper! So, demons... That's all for tonight! The tragedy was overcome! Because the path to the happy ending is unyield!

Everything's gonna change before it heads into that sinful world! Because when the fate they had read is evaded... The demon's script will be torn to pieces!!!

TFR/Off-Season 8[edit | edit source]

Episode 32

With a clash between Jacopo's team, The J.O.B Squad, and The Soul Brothers, contendership is secured with a a decisive victory is achieved by Okarin going maddo scientist after Keiichi's elimination.

TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]

For a shining moment, the demon's script was fully exposed and the dark scheme towards tragedy was overcome... but then, the moment passed. The words that bared fate were gradually forgotten, the bright light of exposure slowly turned to twilight, and the happy ending... little by little, kept moving away. And once the moment faded, it became tragically apparent just how heavy the burden they bore was.

Episode 1

With Angel Mort's new locale, it's no longer as cumbersome having to cross half town for its quality service, and so K1 meets again with Okarin. Dr. Richtofen (or rather Teddy Maxis) sent Okabe to work on the "Methe" lab, and those two guys are... even better than expected! Masters of their craft that even terrify the mighty Hououin Kyouma!

But... Keiichi isn't doing as well, as he finally begins to talk about the uncomfortable "elephant in the room"; they know things most others don't, and it's not easy to deal with something like that. With their actions that day, one way or another, the consequences are unpredictable even to Okabe. But to Keiichi, it's hard to keep off the mind, such knowledge that is impossible to share without people thinking one insane, what little they share people already forgot to continue their daily lives... but even Sminem himself is out there somewhere, and since he can't just ignore the feeling at the back of his head and hope for the best, that's why, from within a certain group that has influence and the same worries as him, he's become a spokesman trying to point people in the right direction. Since he's always had a way with words, Okabe thanks him for being the one that allowed them to shut things down in the first place, and Keiichi asks for them to keep in touch, as the only ones who know what's going on...

Episode 2

The Yeagerists gather and chant at their base, the Coolsville Stadium, as their leader arrives.

Maebara Keiichi joined a few months back, and serves as part of Public Relations. By that time, the original leader and founder had already gone missing, and it's most notable member Rando quickly rose to the position. Accompanying him is as always Zeke Yeager, not only his second-in-command but mouthpiece at all times. Zeke's speech about staying together against TFR's evil menace goes on... since he doesn't have reach or appeal outside the group unlike Keiichi, his speeches are mostly destined towards firing up their supporters. At the end, through the fervent roaring of the stadium, Zeke asks everyone to move on with their routine as it's time for the scheduled meeting between leaders.

Under the stadium, Zeke gets the meeting started. Arthur Morgan, their embedded informant, reports TFR has a new program called "Tough Enough", and through his connections and some digging around has acquired the participants list. This leak will prove itself a giant weakness, and they'll expose the corruption with a well-produced video; Keiichi will write the script, and Ame will present it in a convincing way to the audience. The information itself, presents two candidates as very suspicious: first is Reize Seatlan, his wealthy father has made several donations to TFR, and then got a special spot on the show. Second and more important, the person known as Chinman is related to someone influential of a different variety: his legal guardian, Kiryu Kazuma, is a legend of the underworld, a very dangerous man who put many through a lot of pain. Keiichi understands the first point, he had to say something about the second; Shion and Mion have said nothing but good things about the guy. But Zeke argues he must've deceived them for he's nothing but a hard-boiled gangster, and Ruber claims his actions puts most of the people of the underworld he knows to shame... Keiichi finds it hard to argue against experts like Zeke when Ruber sides with him, and begins doubting if there's not more than meets the eyes to Kiryu. With the meeting concluded, Zeke counts on the tasked ones to deliver the truth.

Taking the elevator back to their office, Keiichi pushes past his tiredness to work on the script. After a while, he thinks about how hard it is for him to put so much negativity into a script, but he has to do what he has to do to keep people alert. Despite the struggles, it begins to take form, one word at a time... suddenly, he notices by the darkness broken by the city lights passing through the window that it's pretty late at night, and wonders if Ame is also tired. When Ame begins looking faint and moaning, she desperately asks Keiichi for all the pills in the top drawer, and... as soon as she takes them, she's instantly better. Ame says they're just normal pills, antidepressants, and stuff to make you feel happy and energetic in general... before Keiichi can finish thinking if he should get some, Ame offers some to him since "everyone's doing it nowadays", and even though he hasn't consulted his doctor, she assures a tiny sample shouldn't hit any of the side effects too bad, and it'll help finish the script. Keiichi finally gives in, and... it definitely works. So without thinking about the consequences too hard, Keiichi and Ame return to working on the script...

Episode 3

After his hard-fought last match, Date wonders if he should take a stroll through the red-light district, when he sees Maebara Keiichi, whom he hasn't seen in a while. He approaches to greet him and wonder how things are going, but Keiichi replies in a jittery and hastily manner, so Date just musters if he's going somewhere and Keiichi apologizes since he's feeling lightheaded and says he's going to Angel Mort. Thinking about it, Date could use some cake... or waitresses with delicious hip bones... and to watch over Keiichi as well, decides to tag along. After making their orders, Date thinks about how out of all the mafia families running around Coolsville, the Sonozaki had the right idea, after all they use their money and influence to expand the legal businesses they have lately, such as all the new Angel Mort joints, and besides they don't make the news like Mafia City... Keiichi agrees Mion and Shion must be doing their best, and turns the question around to Date who says he's been putting on work on AEW Rampage (even won a tag-team tournament there recently) and AEW Dark. Keiichi becomes serious and, trying to not make it sound bad, asks Date directly if the wrestlers in AEW even care; worrying about their own work is important but TFR is very much alive and they must be doing something to stop their evil deeds. In a matter of time, Date thinks they're going to beat "the fed" with all the "bangers" they put out lately, but Keiichi doesn't see how goofing around like kindergarteners on the ring in front of 12 people is gonna be TFR's demise―what kind of change is a failed re-do of BCW gonna bring? Date is slightly taken aback but he blurts out that they're having fun, changing the locker room culture and wrestling the way we wanna wrestle sounds like change to him.

At that moment, Keiichi can't take it anymore and punches the table; that's not promoting real change, that's just closing your eyes and hearts to the outside world! He, at the Yeagerist Movement, is promoting real change! He can't believe Keiichi of all people actually joined them, even if Keiichi believes they are doing what they need to damage TFR's reputation, Date can't believe that when most of the time they don't do anything that affects them directly, they just cause problems around town and leave pubs ruined―and the police has to clean it up. Why is "activism" even necessary? the fed is on the brink and bleeding money, both from corruption and the invasion they suffered. And the major threat of the Bogdanoffs is gone now that they've passed away in prison, and moreover there's no way Sminem could carry whatever problems they were brewing by himself if he were to show up. The real bigger threat right now is gang violence: since the deaths of Steven Sonozaki and Shimano, and with G-Man's absence, Mafia City has become uncontrollable, they not only absorbed the remnants of the Shimano Family, but brought G-Man's Conseguenza Consortium under their thumb, and it's increasingly likely they are involved in the recent string of unsolved murders, as influence allows them to silence any opposition and disrupt those who want to find the truth. That deliberate interference in our investigations makes it incredibly difficult to arrest the culprit, like trying to navigate through a maze with invisible walls... Keiichi is speechless at first, but before he can reply, their food arrives. They eat in silence for 10 to 15 minutes, and then Ooishi arrives to remind Date he'll be late for his shift, so he prepares to take off and asks Keiichi to keep what he said in mind. Ooishi's car already has the AC on, but he tells Date to keep the window open... he doesn't want him to vomit the filthy Sonozaki slop inside. Keiichi remains silent as the two walk off smiling.

Episode 7

After spending time working in the middle of the dessert, even Okabe forgets about city life sometimes, but that's why it's good to take a breather from time to time and visit Angel Mort with Maebara, who also brought along Ame-chan this time. But still, it's all worth it to learn from masters such as Mr. White & Jesse, whose genius would make it easily believable if one day they found the cure to cancer or even time travel; he tells Keiichi that maybe wrestling would be much better with someone like them in charge, and Keiichi himself says he's been putting much work into something like that, along with Ame. By the way, the mad scientist Hououin Kyouma introduces himself to Ame, but Keiichi introduces him properly and says he works with the "methe" guys that she might've seen on TV. Ame finds them very funny, although not in the fun-to-learn-from way Okabe thinks at first. Either way, she doesn't leave her house much except for work, so Keiichi dragged her out since he believes taking a breather is good, and helps for inspiration, but also to celebrate their latest work: thanks to everyone's favorite internet angel, there was another protest today, and TFR won't be able to keep going much longer if they maintain that offensive... and Keiichi did amazing with the script too, can't forget about that, but what she did forget is to take her happy pills and she offers Keiichi some, making Okabe curious, but Keiichi brushes it away.

Keiichi's been really thinking about "staying on the offensive"... it's true he just said it's good to take a breather, but anytime they are taking a breath, their opponents are too, and their goal is suffocating them! To fight against them until it's all done, gone, buried under a pile of rubble! To save everyone! He begins hectically asking Ame about their future video and what they can expose; any scandals? Their new GM? ...Okabe asks him if he's ok, and Keiichi quickly regains his composure and says he must just be hungry, and Ame becomes excited about tasting the desserts which must be great, which Okabe spiritlessly agrees with.

Episode 11

The gates to the Sonozaki Estate come into sight. Being so busy with activism, Keiichi only got to learn about the incident on the Sonozaki house now... he never though Mion and Shion would be caught in the middle of a gang war! Even worse, he could reach them by phone since the lines got cut off... hopefully they only disabled them as precaution to not get tracked. Strangely, there's a police car by the gate. Is the investigation still ongoing? it just serves to make Keiichi more anxious. He tries to get in, but a guy he's never seen before, that unlike Joe refuses to let him in. He insists that he's their friend and it's important he sees them, but all he receives is a warning punch. He stands back shocked and dejected, until he's approached by Ooishi, not having seen each other in a while, he wonders what Keiichi is doing there and asks him to leave the heat and come into his car.

Wondering why he's here, Ooishi claims he's waiting for Date, of course, since he has no other reason to be in such a place. Keiichi quickly connects it to the "attack", Ooishi noting his perceptiveness is sharp as ever, and tells him Date's been extracting information from those Sonozaki scumbags. Keiichi doesn't attempt to hide his hint of animosity at his friends being called like that, which makes Ooishi laugh since he really cares about them deeply, but in turn asks if he thinks he really knows what the Sonozaki, yakuza that terrorized this city for decades, are really like. He can't deny they really were like that, (and although Ruber saying the same thing makes him doubt himself for a moment) that's all in the past, and they're trying to change things now! But Ooishi looks at it with a more nihilistic look, calling it nothing but ironic that they are trying to change things, and he's nothing but a starry-eyed brat like them if he thinks that's happening. The words hit him hard, even if he has to muster himself to say that we- they do their best and it's not u-useless, but Ooishi continues that the moment their patriarch died, the vultures started circling, turning, stabbing each other for the power—honor? just a facade. Keiichi is surprised to hear that, with Ooishi finally explaining that what happened at the estate was the oh-so honorable "Dragon" pummeling through it, and didn't spend even a week in jail before being bailed out. It leaves Keiichi in total shock, he can't believe Kiryu betrayed the family... he thinks to himself how they all were right about what they said, and he's now glad he wrote that script exposing the cold-blooded bastard.

Seeing Keiichi in some anguish, Ooishi apologizes, and puts on the banger they recorded to lighten the mood, syncing his Do you know Oyashiro-sama? to the song, which makes Keiichi a bit embarrassed since he hasn't heard it in a while. In turn, Ooishi asks 'K' if he's still not planning on restoring the Soul Brothers, who claims it's not a good time with how busy they are, but that's why 'Cloud' believes it'd be something to look forwards to. He says he'd be right welcome at AEW, but Keiichi isn't too fond of that place which he calls a 'joke', but Ooishi doesn't think it really matters what it is as they have fun, get paid, and the viewers leave happy. And besides, it's been helpful since he lost his pension and has to now work two jobs, especially since Amakusa doesn't mind him prioritizing his detective job. What's real depressing, Ooishi diverts, is how much Coolsville became a shithole, more and more civilized people turning into gangsters... Keiichi has to agree, you wouldn't hear about serial killings or full-blown gang wars back then. Despite not wanting to ruin the mood again, Ooishi mentions that back when the Sonozaki ruled the city near-uncontested, something very similar happened, all because of a surge of Illegal Gamepads in the black market; instruments that could turn even the most harmless man into something that could go toes-to-toes with a real yakuza... a nightmare of a headache-inducing case. Keiichi had no idea such a thing existed, but Ooishi heartily laughs that it's better that way. Either way, Date is about done, so he asks if he wants to be taken home, but Keiichi (after how things went last time) decides to decline.

Just after leaving the car, thoughts from what Ooishi said fill his mind. Kiryu really was bad news... and the Illegal Gamepads... he should look further into it. He wonders, were these things all happening in the old world? he doesn't know... he can't know... he never paid attention, he was just having fun until now... But things are different now, because he swears that now he'll be the first to notice and and squash them... he HAS to.
