Kaz Hirai
"599 U.S. DOLLARS"
The spokesperson of Sony Computer Entertainment, ambassador of the PS3, and promoter of Sonydomination.
Sony Always Wins[edit | edit source]
Hirai Kazuo was born in Tokyo, where he attended the American School in Japan. The son of a wealthy banker, Hirai often traveled with his father across the world to California, New York, Canada and around Japan. It was his interest in games that later brought him CBS/Sony Inc., where he was involved in marketing international music within Japan. He eventually became head of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's international business affairs office in New York.
He joined Sony's computer and video game division, Sony Computer Entertainment America. He was promoted to executive vice president-chief operations officer in 1996. One year later, Hirai was credited on his first completed video game. With the release of the PlayStation 2, utilizing second-party video game franchises, Kazuo continued his success. Under his leadership, SCEA continually managed to retain high profits throughout the sixth-generation era.
On 2006, Hirai had been made a vice president of its corporate executive group, then just under two weeks after the launch of PlayStation 3, Hirai replaced Ken Kutaragi as president of Sony Computer Entertainment. While maintaining his positions at SCEA, Hirai also became chief operating officer of SCEI. Kutaragi himself was promoted to chairman of SCEI, and remained chief executive officer of the group.
"ITS RIDGE RACER
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACER" ― Kaz Hirai
In E3 2006, overtaken by arrogance from their success and fully betting on Blu-Ray (a divisive format), PS3's announcement and especially reveal price came as a shock to the entire videogame audience. With near no second nor third party games and being notably difficult to develop with at the time, it had no launch catalogue to speak of. The only hero of Sony in such a time was Ricky Bobby. This begun a period of decline for the PlayStation brand that drove its already exceedingly loyal fans rabid and and to cult-like loyalty.
Hirai became chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment on 2011, and was replaced by Andrew House.
To this day, PS continues to have nogaems.
In G1 Nonstop Infinite Climax[edit | edit source]
"SHOT THROUGH THE HEART
AND YOU'RE TO BLAME
THE PS3 HAS NO GAMES"
Mocked for too long and with even the mighty goldenface falling off from it's fame in internet discussion, it's time for PlayStation's power to regrow anew. With invisible exclusives and blu-ray discs in hand, the Sony loyalists will rise and fight in the ring to bring back their era of domination, and have all the games.

In The Final Rumble[edit | edit source]
TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]
PlayStation has been a laughingstock for far too long, attacked by vile timed deals in this bizarre modern market... but it's time to force exclusivity to how it always should've been: violently exclusive.
Episode 9
...after a long and grueling negotiation, Kojima and Hirai come to an agreement that Death Stranding 2 and Physint will both PlayStation 5 exclusives... (*also on PC, adds Kojima). After that addition, Kaz turns away and faces his underling Nathan Drake to point out how nice of an office this is, but he's heard there was an arson epidemic in Coolsville, and it'd be a shame if it crossed over to here, in fact, if he had to relocate because of a causality like that, Kaz wonders if his Hollywood A-List friends perhaps wouldn't be so keen to continue working with him from a "less prestigious" location, and Kratos agrees as much. As Kojima stands silent, Kaz puts down that there'll be no asterisks this time, it'll PlayStation 5, full exclusivity, and... the contract to be signed. Kojima does as he says, and the group leaves the Kojima Productions' premises.
Japan is all but under their control, Sindria is in their back pocket almost. The Dragon of Kojima' incarceration couldn't have been more serendipitous, and with the work Ricky Bobby's been putting in TFR, even Coolsville has begun to feel their tendrils. Drake foolishly questions how they are gonna sell more PlayStations without, no offense to Mr. Kojima, games, but Hirai explains that in this time and age "games" are for children, what they sell is cinematic experiences, but it doesn't really matter what they are called. Once they successfully monopolize the console market, outlawing keyboards and the threat of PC, in the same breath they'll replace the keyboard black market with Illegal DualShocks... they'll have no choice but consume what they're told. Kratos can see clearly the vision of a world where $599 is the norm, but Hirai corrects his mistaken friend for his vision isn't grandiose enough: A new era is dawning, in their brave new world, the PlayStation 6 will have a market retail value starting at...
999 US DOLLARS!
