In The Final Rumble[edit | edit source]
TFR/Season 0[edit | edit source]
The enigmatic Dragonlord who rules over KaibaCorp and seems to enemies with Sinbad.
Episode 3
When Kasuga Ichiban rushes into his office, he shoots him.
Episode 14
After Ichiban was taken away, Sinbad slipped behind him and used a powerful headcrank to take him away, then absorbed KaibaCorp into Sindria Trading Company, but kept their plans going. KaibaCorp's chairman, Tengan Kazuo, had been using Kaiba in his plan to plunge the world into despair by having "The Evil Dragonlord" dominate the world with his robotic army, and Sinbad continued KC's activities to draw him out.
TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]
Spending an awfully long time recovering in the hospital, Kaiba found himself missing his company, health, power, and most importantly, his dragons. Though not an unusual situation, he would need to find a pathway to gain his payback, like he always does...
Episode 1
Knowing what he has to gain, Maximillion Pegasus took advantage of the situation and offered Kaiba a promising reward if he helped him accomplish the arduous task of finding a certain man, and thus their partnership begans when their fruitless search brings them to some lowly outlaw wrestling pub in Canada. Upon mentioning Erwin or TFR, it's instantly clear the residents are not fond of either term, but this only makes Pegasus more decided to search harder and pay any amount, which should make Kaiba all the more eager to achieve their goals. About the backyard wrestling promotion near, despite bearing no info on their search Kaiba notices something strange, as they book huge arenas only to tarp them all over; making profit like that seems doubtful at best, almost like if money was being injected from somewhere...
Just then, a man calling himself "The Cleaner" kicks down the door and tells the "pegasussy"-looking guy to keep from prying into affairs that don't concern him. After stating he's not concerned about "young talent", Pegasus' inquiry about "Erwin" gets ignored, and Kaiba states the man to be a big name known as Kenny Omega; since asking what else he knows only prompts him to respond that he's not telling to anyone wearing a "pegacoat" like him, both Kaiba and Pegasus decide to shut him up.
After Pegasus is confident he put him out, Kaiba ominously says there's a reason he's a feared man in this country as Kenny quickly gets up and readies his ultimate move, even stronger than the One-Winged-Angel... but begins clutching his stomach and quickly loses the ability to speak concisely due to pain and falls down. Upon asking if Pegasus planned for this, Kaiba is answered that he did not but assesses his reaction to be possibly caused by assAIDS, and to call an ambulance for immediate anal bleeding treatment. After that, he's sure this country is a dead end and prepares to leave... for Mexico.
Episode 2
AAA, CMLL, the independent scene... and still no sign of that man. Kaiba hasn't made any progress in his investigation either, but he discovered 'The Cleaner', the man who attacked them and they barely remember, had reasons to believe they were prying into a company he's associated with, a place that shouldn't exist, and isn't allowed to exist, but still exists... and has a quite absurd name, The Illegal Rumble. And the bad news don't end there, because they have an easier time performing overseas where it's not-so-illegal, and in fact they are in a crossover event with them...
Mexican #1: UN FORASTERO!
A AVISAR A LOS DEMÁS!
Mexican #2: NO LO DEJES QUE ESCAPE!
Then... a legend of Mexico emerges: La Parka. Someone with such a great influence he's been nicknamed 'King of Hell' (naturally, just a funny name), and seems he's related to TIR's operations. He says he "wasn't expecting to see them here but this is as far as they go", "TFR has made them lose important people in the past and they won't import luchadores anymore, and in fact as the outlaws in his kingdom... they'll face the consequences". Pegasus naturally understands nothing of what he says, but if he wants to play the game, his Toon Summoned Skull looks much more menacing.
Mexican: TE VOY A HACER PICADILLO! DETRÁS DE VOSOTROS, IMBÉCILES!
"The King of Frauds" more like, Parka-boy let down his country, but it seems the mexicans won't let them get away and they don't stand a chance without Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon... just then, a bell rings through the whole city.
Mexican #1: La campana...
Mexican #2: Tenemos que irnos...
La Parka: Tienes suerte, Pegaso.
Es hora... Del nuevo episodio de Dragon Ball Bebé...
Veamos... Bebé Goku vs Bebé J...
...Where's everyone going? Bingo?
Episode 3
UK, Mexico... and now Japan, they've traveled all over the world and still not a sign of him. Pegasus had a feeling he would be here too, even headed to the biggest company, but it seems his instincts have failed, for all they could find were geeks like "Ricky Bobby" and a guy stealing Kaiba's gimmick. This next promotion might be their last hope. In the crowd, Ryuki Kuruto walks up to Pegasus, claiming he came to see Toru Yano but couldn't help but notice Pegasus in the crowd, and despite still trying to make it big in AEW because he loves wrestling so much, asks an autograph of his TFR hero, but Pegasus is too busy to care for that pissant company and redirects him to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Once gone, Pegasus repeats what he told Kaiba countless times, this new generation... they're "just happy to be there", they "love the sport", such attitudes disgusts him profoundly.
Such words being uttered are picked by the worst ears possible, as Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson, whom they say are "killing the business", even if that were the case, they're doing it to protect the ART, not make money but FRIENDS, have FUN, and make wrestling BETTER than how they found it. And that's why Illegal Rumblers like themselves must put an end to his power trip... with a SUPERKICK PARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!! As his mood starts to sour, Pegasus asks Kaiba why they are like this, who brings up the information that they're "the wrestlers that love to wrestle wrestlers in the wrestling ring, The Young Bucks, superkicks and canadian destroyers specialists with multiple 7-star bouts" who can kick out of anything he throws at them, so Kaiba takes special pills that will allow him to wrestle through his injury.
Half an hour, tons of superkicks, several double 630s, and one Meltzer Driver later, the bucks finally realize Pegasus and Kaiba have disengaged and left the arena, and call them out for not allowing them to restart their 3-hour match since they can't reach enough kicked-out-of finishers to get 8-stars anymore, calling Pegasus a senile, toxic old worker who hates bangers. Outside the arena, Pegasus and Kaiba are clueless of where That Man could be, but Pegasus is sure he must still be wrestling out there somewhere, for he won't give up, won't fold on his gamble. Since they're nearby, Kaiba remembers of a good hot spring where they can gather their thoughts, bit of a weird owner though, and since there's no planes until the next day, Pegasus decides to go, he did visit such a place with Erwin once...
Episode 4
While trying to relax at the hot springs after travelling all over the world, Pegasus thinks about how Erwin would already be strategizing about his future matches here... Kaiba is amused that there's some things not even money can buy, even if he didn't think simple information would be one of them. The owner of the place can't help but overhear them talking, and is reminded of his childhood friend, a ring general and natural leader of men, and more than anything, the hope in his eyes was just... Pegasus wastes no time asking if he's the same Erwin Smith they were talking about, which the owner says that's right the name he's going by. Kaiba can't believe the answer was right under their noses, and Pegasus pleads for his current living location; the owner says that when they parted ways a while ago he left for Ingerland. He can't believe he didn't think of that, but Pegasus asks Kaiba to make preparations post-haste. Erwin... he'll be found.
Episode 6[edit | edit source]
Truly a wonderful nation, exclaims Pegasus. Kaiba questions if he's hasn't been slacking a bit too much, but Pegasus hasn't just been taking in the sights and splendor of Erwin's hometown, but waiting for the day promised in the posters plastered all around town: Erwin Smith's open challenge! A camera crew suddenly appears, seemingly appreciating the scenery as well, before heading to Pegasus' direction. The man first and front, Zeke Yeager, introduces the "TFR Phenom himself" to the camera before introducing himself as "Mr. Beast". Pegasus can't say he's heard of a Mr. Beast, but Kaiba mentions he runs a massive channel aimed at kids, and to be wary of what he says. On the other hand, he knows about Zeke Yeager himself, part of TFR from the earliest days before a TV deal... he keeps tabs on all old talent, after all. Zeke overheard him before about taking the open challenge, and he is in fact collaborating with the local promotion and grabbing scenic views for a nice intro since it's his homeland too. An old timer and from this place? Pegasus is overjoyed, but Zeke modestly says he was nobody back in TFR and offers Pegasus to collaborate on the video, but since he's busy 'visiting an old friend', Zeke gets back to work.
Kaiba notes that his crew looked quite familiar, before turning to Pegasus and wondering why Erwin never looked for him instead... a foolish question. The cruel fate imposed upon him when he lost, back then... that he would not remember, not have any recollection of what they went through... but he still believes in his final gamble, until the day they cross paths again, and that day is today. As Pegasus makes off in haste, Kaiba is left befuddled as always by his "old world" talk, and on a daze stops to check one of the posters Pegasus was talking about: "OPEN CHALLENGE - ERWIN SMITH"... but, something is weird, almost unreadable in the corner... "the 2nd"...?
The sheer disgust Pegasus felt made him instantly bury that shitter stealing his precious friend's name and considers to use the ultimate punishment by sending him to the Shadow Realm. Erwin's final gamble... he will hold onto it, cling to it, until his last breath. At that moment, Ryuki Kuruto, overheard them and remembers they've been looking for him as far back as in Japan, so he offers to show them the place he knew where Mr. Smith lived, but Pegasus heart can't stand to be toyed with anymore today and tells him he's committing to a grave prank. To prove his truth, Ryuki brings out a badge that demonstrates Erwin was a mentor to him in the world of wrestling, reading "Erwin Smith's Wrestling Dungeon" Kaiba can't deny the craftmanship in it, which deters it being amateur work. Countless leads, chased shadows, what's one more? Kaiba asks Pegasus if he's sure, but Erwin's creed was to "Advance!", and for truth, so they shall.
They arrived... to Erwin's house. Each knock echoes like a drumbeat, marking the tempo of their anxious hearts, every second starts to feel like an hour, images of the time spent together were flowing through his mind. After a while the door finally opened, and someone never seen before came out. The person greets Ryuki and wonders what brought him here, which he states was crossing roads with Erwin's old friend, and the person wonders if it could be... Pegasus? The relief he feels knowing Erwin has mentioned him before is immense, the gamble paid off! The person confirms he has mentioned him plenty... in the last days of his life, and introduces herself proper as Erwin's widow. Erwin... he passed away peacefully a few weeks ago, like he was having an everlasting dream.
Is he... being played with? Has his search been nothing but a source of amusement? Pegasus manages to regain his composure a bit and ask: why didn't Erwin come to find him? He wouldn't just leave him behind in sea of uncertainty. His widow notes he doesn't look like one to loses his composure easily, so it must be quite a shock, and tells him about the letter Erwin left behind near the end of his life; despite his old age he spoke with such clarity about his old friend as if rejuvenated by the memories. Pegasus unfolds the letter...S
Kaiba, Ryuki, and the widow stare at Pegasus... he's crying. The widow mentions he was an extraordinary man, and that his note contains a postscript which he was initially debating not to include. In it, he mentions his one regret, other than not seeing his dear friend in his life. The last of his students... his work lay unfinished, and the heights he could reach lay unreachable. Pegasus... the one last favor he asks, is finish his training, bring out the star inside him. He sent him to Coolsville recently, their paths should cross at some point. Finish training... Ryuki Kuruto.
Episode 12
The G1 Board of Directors holds a meeting at the G1 Arena: A "???"woman with long hair claims they're "subcontracting the weapon acquisition to the local Coolsville gangs" and meeting their quota, although the schedule would be better if they didn't rely on a bunch of disgruntled thugs. A "???"tall man with sharp eyes wonders if it's a dig at him even though he thought he didn't wanna work with him, and the former person agrees since, despite being siblings, he "trusts him as much as he can throw him", and he's not the athletic type. The tall man reasons she just "wants ownership of 'Amalgam' for herself", but she "should know" their top priority is field-testing BLACKED Technology. Another "???"person, with short vibrant hair, turns the conversation to point to the "director" that his "development schedule" seemed halted. The "???""director", with a strange ornament in place of one of his eyes and a stuttering voice, claims there's nothing he can do, as without a "Whispered", beyond developing the prototype the development is doomed to stagnation. He wishes there was another "Whispered" or the original cooperated, but the person with round hair, bearing a smug look, claims that's what he gets for having his plan trust and rely on "that bastard" so much, but he has nowhere to hide, as those cretins at Sony might be useless yet their operatives will get information from his "favorite little toy". A "???"towering man, annoyed, claims he'd just kill him and be done with it if he could get his hands on him, but the person with round hair believes it's too quick an end for what he's done, and they can still "extract value" from him, as there's many ways to extract information out of his head, Whispered or not. The towering man, however, tires of this prattle, as he claims to be a man of action, that craves bloodshed more than schemes. Either way, the person with round hair notes the meeting over anyway. The towering man points to the tall man with sharp eyes, saying his subordinate "Gauron" and himself are of like-mind, and tells him to let him know that if he tires if the shadows and wishes to see the rivers run red, he has a place among his own ranks; the tall man "will be sure to pass along the message". Once he's gone, the woman with long hair wonders if it's okay for him to be unsupervised, but the person with round hair claims he's under control. He also mentions that, as for the "new Whispered", he's heard they already have a candidate, and trusts her branch will handle it, while his own will capture the old one for "they have a score to settle". With everything done, the tall man with sharp eyes addresses the "observer", (Real name unknown) Affiliation UnknownSaten , who must say it was quite the "interesting" meeting, and he's quite "impressed" now that he knows a fair bit about their "mission"... the power of the "Whispered" are indeed "fascinating", and with them, the "world" is at their fingertips. But they must not forget the bigger "picture"; the "candidate" they're looking for, for he has a "feeling" that they're going to be of significant "importance" to their future... "Plans". Still, as one of the "Four Dark Executives" of his organization, Saten will say they have "their" support.
Episode 13
Kaiba arrives along with Harrier Du Bois to the dungeon where Kasuga Ichiban and Yakou Furio (plus with Billy Coen and Saejima Taiga) are kept. Ichiban pleads with Harry to remember his friends, but he remains silent, as Kaiba comments it's completely useless. After hearing him, Ichiban soon recognizes his voice from way back... "The Dragonlord". Back then, Kaiba explains, Ichiban and his friends caused him great trouble and brought KaibaCorp to ruin, so it's about time he paid them back. As for Du Bois, talking to what's barely a man anymore will net him no response, as all that's left in this empty husk is the perfect guard dog; every technique deeply ingrained, there's no need for him to operate on a sound mind when his only purpose is pain infliction. If he doesn't want to become his next target, Kaiba asks for King Sinbad's whereabouts, but Ichiban refuses even if he knew to sell his friend. In that case, Kaiba tells Du Bois to bring "it" in... Yakou thinks it's an ordinary chair, and since Ichiban sees Harry removing his chain (not the cuffs) he thinks he's finally glad he could count on him, but then he forces him to sit down on the chair—and the screaming starts. Saejima and Coen solemnly admire his willpower for not talking despite the excruciating pain. As Ichiban continues murmuring that he won't talk between screaming, Kaiba calls it for today; he can't allow him to die, so they'll change their approach. He has a few calls to make, so he tells Du Bois to keep watch.
An alarm soon rings through the dungeon, indicating their escape.
