Broken, Scattered[edit | edit source]
"The UNSC lost this war months ago. Your people are broken. Scattered. Hunted! DEFEATED. By me. I wish I could tell you it was difficult... but it wasn't. We are one step ahead. ALWAYS! The Ring is already under our control. Soon, the Auditorium as well. The Harbinger and the Banished share the same goal. We fight together, to honor the WILL of ATRIOX. But... without challenge... I grow weary... lost... alone... But... here you now stand. This is my last fight, a true test of legend! Our story will outlive us both. SET A FIRE IN YOUR HEART, SPARTAN! BARE YOUR FANGS! FIGHT HARD! Die well." ― Escharum
A War Chief within the Banished. He is extremely loyal to Atriox and was his mentor.
When Master Chief invaded his ship, he was delighted of the arrival of a worthy adversary, and his opinion didn't change despite the continuous defeats suffered by his men, and was mortally wounded in the ensuing battle. He wanted to continue fighting, but Master Chief told him it was over. Chief caught him before he collapsed. In his dying breath, he told him that his death would inspire a thousand others and that he wanted to let his men know that he died well.
In The Final Rumble[edit | edit source]
TFR/Season 8[edit | edit source]
A mysterious monkey man who attains power in Sindria. Likes to give lengthy passionate speeches to his adversaries.
Episode 6
...Sindria is quite different than how Ichiban imagined, what with the ruined streets and all, but it's still a nice place! He hurries to his meeting at the strangely-empty Sindria Trading Company HQ, only for Escharum to be met with him. Escharum has heard about him, the so-called "Hero of Sindria" despite not stepping a foot there... surprised at being called a hero, Ichiban believes he might've heard of his adventures with King Sinbad. But Escharum laughs as Sinbad is no "king", his time has passed, and he-Escharum-personally will banish this "hero" who's too late to save anyone to a tiny little dungeon where nobody will ever hear from him again. Ichiban didn't even have time to prepare for the bossfight before everything goes black...
Episode 9
From within the Sindrian prison, the STC enforcers Heavyweight along with Crack Ripper and Toby Cream beat the traitorous Warden Osborne black and blue, trying to get rid of Ichiban and his friends for attempting to get out. Heavyweight gets down to business and tells Ichiban the facts, that the higher ups, like Escharum, won't stand for snakes, and he has something to say...if he would pick up the phone... which he finally does, being quite annoyed until he realizes the situation. Seeing the traitorous warden already taken care of, he reminds Ichiban he must've known he was bound to meet a terrible fate, much like his friend Sinbad. He's surprised the hero could be so clueless, as Sindria lost the war months ago, having been one step ahead at all times, he wishes he could say it was difficult... but it wasn't. He hopes Kasuga Ichiban prays so that Heavyweight punishes his defiance now, because shall they ever meet again, the flesh will be peeled from his bones, and shall he run away, they will hunt him down, pursue wherever he goes... but it's good none of those are worth worry, because he'll be made an example of in the present. The call ends, and Heavyweight gets ready to get rid of his next target after traitors: the vermin.
Episode 11
Mike Pun Master breaks into the Revolve Bar asking for the runaway Kasuga Ichiban who is in a pickle now, because he's not only dead but the boss wants a front-row seat... he's about to be "axed" from the game. On the other end of a phonecall is Escharum, who adds another crime to Ichiban's sentence for his awful haircut, and announces once his men are done, he'll wish he had given up sooner, because as the new ruler of Sindria he—BANG!—a bullet passes cleanly through the phone screen and ends the call.
Episode 12
After an explosion in the Nocturnal D.A. submarine, a large number of Sindrian Peacekeepers surround the area. They subdue Kasuga Ichiban, Yakou Furio, and Kamikura Waka... and give the former a phone. Three months... that's how long Escharum has been for this moment, to see them on their kneels, at his mercy. Ichiban calls out his name, but Escharum tells them to keep their mouths shut like the dogs they are, and a Peacekeeper hits the foul-mouthed Waka. Glad to see how things are going, sadly Escharum can't watch them grovel in person because he has things to attend to, but they'll be of great help to "them" where they are going soon. Without further ado, Escharum leaves them in the hands of their old "friend"—all Peacekeepers instinctively straighten in respect to their boss, awaiting for his orders.
