A character from WWE 2K19 story mode.

Terrible with names and gimmicks.

[headcanon][edit | edit source]

In 2016, Cole made his debut when he signed a contract to BCW. He became one of top wrestlers in Barron Championship Wrestling ever since. He's initially competing as Mr. CQ, but the gimmick is poorly received by fans due to his insistence on coming off as a self-obsessed jerk. When WWE scout Matt Bloom arrives at a BCW show, he believes he will wind up in NXT. He battles Buzz in a losing effort, and, to his dismay, is passed over for Buzz due to his poor performance and underwhelming gimmick, causing him to lash out at Buzz for stealing his glory and BCW promoter Barron Blade for favoring a nobody and his less than stellar performance as a wrestling producer.

When a 'masked fan' cost Buzz the opportunity to compete on NXT, Cole saw this as the perfect chance to stick it to him. Prior to BCW's first "Live Stream PPV", he created a new masked character called "Black Hole" Cole and insinuated that he knew who the guy who attacked him was. However, after Buzz defeated him in a Falls Count Anywhere match, he was forced to admit that Buzz was better than he thought and became his friend and joined his and Barron's plan to build up BCW's rep and stick it to WWE. After a stopover in Japan, where he was forced to drop all his underwhelming gimmick ideas and compete merely as himself, Cole and Buzz competed on BCW's next Live Stream PPV at a metropolitan center in a Scrap Trap match, where he lost to Buzz yet again.

Upon discovering that WWE shut down their stream on grounds that they had exclusivity to the venue, Cole joined Buzz's quest to hijack NXT, using his access to his uncle's costume shop, Don's Costume Emporium, in their plans. When Barron was revealed to have instigated the "Masked Attacker" in an attempt to keep Buzz from leaving his promotion, Cole severed ties with him in a show of solidarity. As Buzz began making the transition to WWE, Cole left to make a name for himself in Japan as he had a standing offer to join the promotion Barron sent him to, promising to keep in touch with Buzz when he could.

Cole Quinn made his debut in WWE in an untelevised show in Japan, competing against Buzz in a losing effort. During Buzz's rivalry with The Miz over the Intercontinental title, Buzz contacted Cole in order to use his knowledge of designing championship belts to create a custom title he could use to stick it to Miz. He made an on-screen debut on Raw as Bray Wyatt's lamb during his feud with Buzz. At Survivor Series, Cole attacks Buzz on Wyatt's behalf, despite the steel cage prevent anyone from interfering, before he brawls with the Demon Finn Bálor outside the ring. At Royal Rumble, they were defeated by Demon Finn Bálor and Buzz's "Inner Demon" in a tornado tag extreme rules match, freeing him from Wyatt's control. He made another appearance at WrestleMania 34, where he aids Buzz to stop Bálor's interference during the Universal title match, if he refuses to forgive Barron Blade.

He reappeared later after Red and Tre rejected Baron's offer to join the "New" BCW. Barron tries to claim he's close to re-signing Cole back into the fold, but Cole, knowing full well how deceitful Barron can be, refuses to sign. Later, he battles Tre in a singles match, whether Tre wins or loses.

Later, he appears training at the Performance Center. He appears in one challenge match issued by Robyn Rae.

After the former Lock was fired from WWE, they get to do some motion capture at the studio for all the moves for their next WWE 2K game, where Cole is also working at. He restraint the former Lock when he suffered a mocap meltdown after he attacked Money in the Bank holder Sami Zayn.
