One of the legendary wrestlers hailing from the mystical land of Mexico.

Darkest Abyss[edit | edit source]

Born as Andres Palomeque, he and his brother soon took a liking to martial prowess, and it wasn't long until he found himself being trained under the care of a mentor, the legendary duo of Nerio Soto "El Noruego" and his twin brother Delio Soto. in 1987, he made his debut as "Alex Dinamo" in the ring. Soon he found himself in the ring under a more professional name of "Little Samurai" until he was contracted by the CMLL as "Furor", where he had to face another challenge: To defeat his mentor El Noruego in a match; in the end he proved victorious as he had far surpassed his mentor. He switched to AAA a year later under the name "Winners".

During this period he teamed up with the Rey Misterio and Rey Misterio Jr to defeat Los Destructores. In a Mask VS Mask match, he was forced to unmask, but to his surprise, the great dishonor instead made his fans cheer on him more, and he even forgave his unmasker and worked together later. He teamed up with the original La Parka I in one occasion to defeat the team Los Villanos. However, his exposure to La Parka seems to have affected him, as he changed from the heroic "Winners", to the villainous persona of "Abismo Negro", a complete Heel turn. He learned the move "Marinete" (A Mexican piledriver) that consists of diving his opponent's head into the mat, and used this move despite it being Banned.

He joined the Heel team created by Cibernetico "Los Vipers", along with Psicosis (II), Mosco De La Merced, Maniaco and Histeria. He even created a minion of his later on, known as "Mini Abismo Negro". Seeking more power, Abismo made and lead a splinter of Los Vipers known as "Los Vipers Extreme" with Electroshock, Pentagón, Shiima, El Cuervo and Mini Abismo Negro. After being defeated by the original group, now renamed "First Class Vipers", the two merged again and were incorporated into the stable Lucha Libre Latina, where eventually Abismo took the leadership of Vipers. He and Cibernetico fought for the leadership several times, but he always ended up winning. After being defeated by La Parka II in the Rey de Reyes, he began a series of loses, which continued until the great loss of Abismo Negro, Cibernético, Electroshock and Mascara Maligna VS Mascara Sagrada, El Alebrije, Octagón and La Parka II, where he was forced to submit.

In 2003, he again was defeated by La Parka II on Rey de Reyes. In 2004 he went on to be part of Team AAA in America's X Cup Tournament along Hector Garza, Juventud Guerrera, Mr Aguila & Heavy Metal, where they ended winning it. Later, renamed as Team Mexico in the World X Cup Tournament they ended losing. He returned to Mexico to once more make it to the final of Rey the Reyes and lose to La Parka II again.

Eventually, facing his friend Cibernetico once more, he made the return from Heel to Face, leaving Los Vipers. However, some of the evil he left behind took form in the wrestler known as Abismo Negro II or Black Abyss, who looked identical to Abismo and took control of Los Vipers. Abyss stopped Abismo from winning in his next Rey de Reyes final by invading the match and attacking him and using his own version of Abismo's finisher, ensuring the El Zorro victory. Finally, both wrestlers faced in a 4-way match where Abismo managed to eliminate Abyss. However this would be his last match...

According to a bus driver who was transporting Palomeque on Friday night March 20, he became agitated, panicked and demanded to be let off the bus at 1:30. A text message confirms that he found himself lost on the dark hillside. On the morning of March 22, Palomeque was found floating face down in the river. On Saturday March 21, while Palomeque was either lost in the hills or already dead, someone worked as Abismo Negro on an AAA show. In the past, the wrestler known as Black Abyss had worked as Abismo Negro when Palomeque failed to show, but this time Black Abyss was not the man behind the mask, as he was on the opposing team that night.

Black Abyss saddened left the AAA afterwards, his current whereabouts unknown.

TFR/Season 3[edit | edit source]

On the final match, Abismo Negro appeared as one of Konnan's acolytes, although it is believed he was actually Black Abyss paying homage to his rival.
